Often it seems that religious people are known more by what they stand against than what they are for. When you look at the life of Jesus, we see that he always stood for those that religion stood against. As followers of Jesus, we too are called to stand for those that Christ came to save by seeking their good. But can we seek the good of the world and still stand righteously before God?

Through this series “Stand,” we will look at the story of Daniel in the Old Testament to help us answer this question. Beginning Holy Week, we now see the crowds worshipping Jesus as he enters Jerusalem and culminating at the Last Supper, where Jesus reveals the ultimate purpose for which he came, bringing us all into a truer and deeper sense of worship.
