We are convinced that life change happens best in small groups, where people can experience and process life together in community with others. To us, groups are not merely a program or an event. They are about incorporating discipleship into the flow of our everyday lives by sharing life with others. It is where the thoughts, concepts and ideas taught in the large environments like Sunday morning worship gatherings take on flesh and blood and are applied in our daily lives. It is a vehicle for learning and also for putting into practice the things that we learn.

At their core, life groups are casual gatherings of 8-12 people, typically meeting at a group members home, for the purpose of growing together and learning how to love God, love others and live with purpose. But to those who have experienced the benefits of a life group, they are so much more. Life groups are a place to know and be known, love and be loved, serve and be served. We have women’s groups, men’s groups, singles groups, couples groups and groups that are open to anyone (general groups). Most of these are divided by the overall stage of life of the group members. Every group has a unique feel and personality and finding the right one for you can be life changing. If you are concerned about childcare expense, we can help. We also understand that during this season that we are in, some may not feel comfortable meeting in person or would like to get a taste of what a life group might look like without necessarily committing. We have developed something called a “Virtual Group.” The Virtual Group is a non-committal, low risk group that allows you to be in community online. Every Monday Night at 6pm, we come together via Zoom to discuss the current sermon series for about an hour.  It’s a great on ramp to potentially joining a life group later down the road. Ask some people you already know about the Life Group that they are in. Personal relationships are always the most popular way to find a group and get connected. Or fill out the LIFE GROUP INQUIRY FORM below and we will do our best to get you connected to a group that fits you.

Our life group coaches, leaders and apprentice leaders are part of the core leadership of our church. They are Bible teachers, discussion facilitators, care providers, fellowship coordinators and spiritual mentors. But, first and foremost, they are servants. Scripture teaches us that to be a leader in the kingdom of God, we must seek to be a servant to all (Mark 10:42-45). So, if you are looking for a high-profile position with lots of perks, this probably isn’t for you. But, if you desire to open up your life and teach others to do the same, if you have a passion to see people grow in their knowledge and love for Christ, and if you are ready for a truly challenging and tremendously rewarding task, then I would love to sit and talk with you about life group leadership.
