The cohort is intended to be a semester-based program that trains members of The Church at South Lake in three essential elements of discipleship:

  1. Christian Story
  2. Christian Belief
  3. Christian Formation

We are looking for a group of men and women who want to dive into the deeper truths of God.  The cohort meets on Monday evenings from 6:30 to 7:45 pm.  Find out when the next cohort begins and sign up at our Events page.

The Disciples Path is a series of four studies founded on Jesus’ model of discipleship.  This transformational discipleship is done through the principles of modeling, practicing, and multiplying.

Here are the four studies:

  • THE CALL:  Gain a deeper understanding of what it means to follow Christ in everyday life.
  • THE TRUTH:  Dive into the doctrinal truths of biblical discipleship.
  • THE LIFE:  Take a deeper look at the essential disciplines and practices of following Christ.
  • THE MISSION:  Get equipped for God’s mission and discover your role in joining him in the world.

Each of these studies meets on Wednesday evenings from 6:30 to 7:45 pm for five weeks.  Find out when the next study begins and sign up at our Events page.

Partnership_webPRECEPT STUDIES

Precept Ministries is dedicated to the sole purpose of teaching people to study God’s Word for themselves and apply its truths to their daily lives.  This is achieved through the inductive bible study method, a highly effective way of seeking out answers and understanding Scripture.

There are many classes offered throughout the year on various different books.  They vary in length, but range anywhere from a 3-week to 15-week commitment (Sunday nights from 5:00 to 7:30 pm in the kids building).  Find out when the next Precept class begins and sign up at our Events page.

We all need a plan for our money.  Unfortunately, most people operate more by default than by design when it comes to their finances.  Compass is a 9-week study that provides practical steps to managing our finances through building a biblical framework of money and life.  Join us as we engage in individual study, class discussions and interactive small group activities.  Cost (includes class materials) is $39 for individuals and $49 for couples.

Please download the free eBook Your Money Counts and read it prior to starting this course.  Find out when the next Compass course begins and sign up at our Events page.
