What a great time was had by all!

Our first South Lake Family Vacation was a big success, and not even the one rainy afternoon could stop us.  Besides enjoying the ocean and pools, we learned the art of sand flea hunting, got some ultimate frisbee action, built sand castles with the kids, became one with the ocean thanks to Donnie’s surf lessons, stuffed ourselves at the ice cream party, and fit about twice as many people as the Florida Department of Health would allow in the spa.  Some crazy individuals also got up and ran at six in the morning… with nobody chasing them.

Whether by participating in any of those activities, or by simply lounging and enjoying the sun next to a friend, we saw families and individuals connecting, sharing life stories, serving one another, and strengthening relationships.  This was the greatest thing we could wish for, and our CASL family came through.

If you were not able to join us this time, keep your eyes and ears open because we’d love to see you at the next one.  In the mean time we encourage you to keep on enjoying life, enduring suffering, and pointing one another to Christ with your Life Groups.  The Gospel transforms our lives in the context of relationship; first with Christ and second with one another.

Here are some photos from this past weekend…
