Welcome to ChurchAtSouthLake.com! We hope you’ll find this to be a place where you can get to know a little bit more about us and what we’re doing to impact our local community and the world with the gospel of Jesus. Feel free to take some time to learn a little bit more about our history, our vision and our staff. While you’re here, be sure to check out what our ministries are doing, listen to a weekend message and find out how you can get connected!
We’d love for you to join us at one of our worship gatherings this weekend! We offer three services on Sundays: 8:15 am, 9:30 am, & 11:00 am (our student ministry, 521 Exchange, meets on Wednesdays at 6:30 pm). It’s our prayer that your life will be changed as you come in contact with the good news of Jesus. If we can serve you in any way, please contact us and someone will be in touch with you soon.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Visiting a church for the first time can be a confusing and intimidating experience, but having an idea of what to expect can help. The general atmosphere of our worship gatherings is casual and relaxed. There are three main components to a typical Sunday worship gathering: Kids, Music, and Teaching.
Our goal for both our Children’s and Student Ministries is to partner with the parents in raising their children to know and love Jesus. On Sundays, as you walk your children (Newborn to 5th Grade) to the Check-In station at the kids building, you will be greeted by a volunteer who will help ensure your kids are checked-in to their appropriate classrooms. Our check-in process ensures the safety and security of each child and requires that we obtain some information from the parents. You will be asked to fill out Visitor Registration Form so we are aware of any allergies or health concerns. South Lake Kids Ministry is offered during the 9:30 am and 11:00 am worship gatherings. MS & HS students meet on Wednesdays at 6:30 pm for our student ministry called 521 Exchange.

We are blessed to have talented musicians in our church who bring an eclectic mix of musical styles to our worship gatherings. On most Sundays the general style of music is rock, including newer modern songs as well as new arrangements of old hymns. All of the music will be centered around who God is and what He has done for us and will be in reflection of the doctrine and beliefs of our Church.

All of the pastors at the church seek to preach the Bible in a compelling and relevant way while being faithful to the meaning and intent of the Biblical text. We often teach through entire books of the Bible and occasionally include interspersed topical teaching series. We seek to be Gospel-Centered in all of our teaching, which means that we focus everything around the Person and work of Jesus. And while you will certainly learn some things about being a better person, having a stronger marriage and managing your finances wisely, those things are not the primary focus of our teaching because all of those things are secondary to what Jesus has done for us. It is only through knowing Jesus that we can be enabled to move forward in meaningful and sustainable ways in all other areas of life.
